A simulation?
The thought experiment that we might be living in a simulation is fascinating. There are thousand questions and ideas that can come from exploring this topic, but I have just one right now: why?
I mean if we were created as software in a simulated universe or world, what is our purpose? Are we entertainment, like the Sims, or an experiment on society-building? Are we an experiment or a control group, or maybe just a testing ground? Is this SimCity (really SimPlanet) and the operators are throwing disasters and challenges at us on purpose? I’m really curious, although I am certain I won’t find out anything in my life on Earth.
Still, fascinating to consider the “what ifs?”
